Collaborated in a team of 5 to design an 8-piece avant-garde collection inspired by Italian designer Massimo Vignelli with the theme “On the Table”. Transformed everyday materials using repurposed items and cutting-edge technology, personally incorporating over 300 forks into one piece to showcase unconventional beauty in high fashion.

The theme this year was "On the Table" I thought fork dress! An entire dress made out of forks.
I knew this project deadline was going to be tight especially balancing other projects with it. So I wanted to be able to make something crafty/ diy and turn it into high fashion.
This inspiration was mixed with aesthetic and structure.

I knew this project deadline was going to be tight especially balancing other projects with it. So I wanted to be able to make something crafty/ diy and turn it into high fashion.

To create the fanned-out structure, I cut the seams of a thrifted skirt and reinforced it with cardboard for stability.
The corset-style breastplate, made from cardboard and broken plastic forks, added a bold, industrial texture, seamlessly tying the design together.

The journey of this project was so challenging yet rewarding. It was an extra project that I decided to be apart of because of my passion for fashion. I was honored to be able to get the recognition for my piece by the RIT community, and designers. I was also very grateful to be chosen for the BeyondFashion showcase. I couldn't have done it without the team. Throughout many challenges and long nights we made a collection that we were all proud of.
